First flight from the UK to Australia in a Vickers Vimy plane. Sir Ross Macpherson Smith (second left) and his brother Sir Keith Macpherson Smith (far left) flew the plane along with Sergeant Jim Bennett and Sergeant Wally Shiers (second from the right and far right respectively) completed the journey in less than 28 days, with an actual flying time of 135 hours
