A fold-out panoramic view of the city of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, Italy. Vesuvius is the only volcano on the European mainland to have erupted within the last hundred years. The Funicular Railway can be seen - this operated between 1880 and 1944 and was run (up to 1928) by Thomas Cook and Son, with three fixed services daily and night services between May and September
