Ghana, West Africa - Merchant Vessel (M. V. ) Apapa of the Elder Dempster Line running from Liverpool to West Africa. On November 15th, 1940, while on voyage from Lagos to Liverpool, APAPA was bombed and sunk by german FW 200 Condor aircraft, 200 miles west from Achill Head, County Mayo (Ireland).
