House of Pierre Gilbert - Picault Island, Aldabra Group
House of Pierre Gilbert - Picault Island, part of the Aldabra Group, part of the Outer Islands of the Seychelles, lying in the southwest of the island nation, 1, 000 kilometres (620 miles) from Mahe Island. The whole island appears to have been turned over to the harvesting and drying of mangrove bark, operated by a French Company, which I assume was being managed by Monsieur Gilbert at this time
