Iskenderun, Turkey. Also known as Alexandretta in Greek and in English Alexandrette. Turkish city at the far eastern end of the Mediterranean coast. The largest Turkish seaport on the Mediterranean with a steel works. A naval training base and also houses a small Suryana Christian community within the city. Scene of many ancient battles
