The clock tower of the church of St. Photinie at Izmir (Smyrna), Turkey. St. Photinie was the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well mentioned in St. John's Gospel (Chap. IV). Photinie means light, because she received the light from the lightgiver, Jesus Christ. Martyred at the hands of Roman Emperor Nero
