The Ksar, Medenine, Tunisia
The well-preserved ksar (fortified granary) at Medenine, Tunisia. Built by the Ouergherma federation in the 17th century following the decision to leave the mountain stronghold of Ghomrassen and assert authority over the plains. The ksar was used for location shoots for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
