Large Bell at Daibutsu, Nara, Japan
The huge bell housed in a decorative belfry at Todai-ji, a Buddhist temple complex located in the city of Nara, Japan. The Diabutsen (or Great Buddha Hall') is the largest wooden building in the world, and houses the world's largest statue of the Buddha - Vairocana, known in Japanese simply as Daibutsu. Here, the bell is being rung - "This hell of a bell made a clang when it rang" (T Gillmor, 2014)
