Lemnos, Greece - Moudros - Mosque
British troops at Moudros on the Island of Lemnos, Greece in the northern part of the Aegean Sea. During World War I, the Allies used the island to try to capture the Dardanelles Straits, some 50 km away. In late October 1918, the armistice between the Ottoman Empire and the Allies was signed at Moudros
