Longwood House, St Helena
Longwood House, St Helena, the place of the death of Napoleon Bonaparte on 5th May 1821. Following exile to the Island, Napoleon moved to Longwood House in December 1815; it had fallen into disrepair, and the location was damp, windswept and unhealthy.
