The Maccabi Sports Club members (Maccabees) await the arrival of Lord Arthur Balfour (1848-1930) near the Triumph Gate, Tel Aviv, Israel at the historic opening of the Herzliya Hebrew Gymnasium in Tel Aviv on March 26th, 1925. Maccabi Tel Aviv is one of the largest sports clubs in Israel, and a part of the Maccabi association running many sports clubs and teams in Tel Aviv, which compete in a variety of sports, such as football, basketball, judo, swimming, handball, and others.
