Nihonbashi (Japan Bridge) - Tokyo, Japan
Nihonbashi (literally Japan Bridge), or Nihombashi, a business district of Chuo, Tokyo, Japan which grew up around the bridge of the same name (pictured, which has linked two sides of the Nihonbashi River at this site since the 17th century). In the early 1960s, a vast expressway was built above this bridge, spoiling the situation of the elegant structure. There are now plans to remove this eyesore and for the bridge to once again be the focal point for the area
