The Original Co-op, Rochdale, Lancashire
On December 21st, 1844, the Rochdale Equitable Pioneers Society commenced trading in this building thereby launching the worldwide Co-operative movement. The restored building was visited by HRH Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy on 13th May 1981
