Russian Ambassador's Summer Residence - Buyukdere, Istanbul
The Russian Summer Embassy at Buyukdere, Constantinople, Turkey on the Bosphorus beyond Tarabya. Standing at the North end of a large Bay - its Turkish name means Large Stream while in Byzantine times it was known as Kalos Agros - the "beautiful meadow". A lovely fertile valley with fine old trees through which a road leads to the Belgrad Forest
