Sinaia - Romania
Sinaia, Romania. A mountain resort in Prahova County, the town was named after the Sinaia Monastery (itself named after the Biblical Mount Sinai), around which it was built. King Carol I's summer Palace, Peles Castle, is close to the town. Walking in the Park. A scene which shows how this country was very much a poart of Western Europe at this stage, prior to being cut-off and becoming Eastern European by the close of the 20th century - a cycle which is now slowly reversing back to the start
