Sun setting over St Sophia
The sun setting over the Ayasofya. The famed Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya) in Constantinople. Architects of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul were Anthemius of Tralles and Isadorus of Miletus. Became a mosque and now it is a Museum. Still contains interior Christian iconography. Postcard by Publishing House of Rochat. Inspired to issue a series of cards of quite well-known views of Constantinople which they then washed out in various colours. This was perhaps, for Constantinople, an innovation and the cards proved to be very popular with the public
