Turkish rug manufacture
The manufacturing of Turkish carpets at Gordes. Women sit at the base of a large loom, with the different coloured balls of wool hanging on an upper strut. Some of the girls working the loom look very young and each works on a separate pattern or section of the completed carpet. The finished carpet feeds through beneath where they are sitting
