Water Therapy at Bourbonne-les-Bains - a commune in the Haute-Marne department in northeastern France. A lady lies naked on her side, whilst an attendant at the spa hoses her down with a (rather fearsome) jet of water. This treatment appears to have the power to cure a wide raft of ailments (including rheumatism, gout, trauma, sciatica and gynaecological complaints). The thermal springs were known to the Gauls and to the Romans who built baths on the site
