Welsh Cabinet Makers with prams
The shop of W. Davies, a Cabinet Maker and Undertaker, of Station Road, Llanelli who was known as aDavies the Celfi (Davies the Furniture). It seems it was common practice for Cabinet Makers to also perform the duty of Undertakers, as it was considered to be aan allied trade'. The Cabinet Maker would go to the deceased's house, measure the body, prepare the wooden casket, and then take the body to its final resting place. The items mostly on display in this photograph are a wonderful collection of perambulators of every shape and size
