Interesting Islamic architecture in evidence in the houses of Hodeidah (Hodeida), Yemen, with Ottoman Empire-influenced cumbas. Hodeidah is the Yemen's fourth largest city in population terms and it developed as the leading port of the Ottomans when the coffee trade at Mukha dwindled. It still retains its old Turkish quarter, depicted here
