Four year-old Boy (Geoffrey Vincent James) in a studio portrait in a sailor's cap from Hms Lion, battlecruiser built for the Royal Navy in the 1910s. She was the lead ship of her class, which were nicknamed the "Splendid Cats". Perhaps this young chap had a relative on board?
