Cunard Line, RMS Lusitania - extremely important archive relating to Senior 5th Engineer William Affleck Anderson who drowned when the Lusitania was torpedoed by the German submarine U20. Seen here are his Continuous Certificate of Discharge book, the final entry being 23 April 1913 (his subsequent book was lost in the sinking), photo of Mr Anderson, a WW1 British Deadman's Penny, issued to next of kin of service personnel who were killed as a result of enemy action, and a letter written on board the Lusitania less than two months before her ill-fated final voyage, written over four sides, including the sentence We didn't sight any submarines or anything of the sort'.
