Letter from Dr Crippen to Lady Somerset
A letter of 26 October 1910 from Dr Harvey Hawley Crippen (1862-1910) to Isabella Caroline Somerset, Lady Henry Somerset (1851-1921), sent from Pentonville Prison, London. Crippen, an American homeopath, ear and eye specialist and medicine dispenser, was hanged in Pentonville Prison on 23 November 1910 for the murder of his wife Cora Henrietta Crippen. The letter (one of his last) details his relationship with his mistress and his view that "all may yet come right".
