White Star Line, RMS Oceanic, rare original photograph of stewardess Annie Martin in uniform, resting in a White Star Line deckchair aboard RMS Oceanic at New York, 1909. Taken by WSL officer Philip Agathos Bell, and from his personal album. No other copy or generation exists. Miss Martin wears the company-issue blue nursing blouse and white apron, which came with red burgee shoulder flashes. She later served as stewardess on RMS Titanic, and survived the disaster, possibly in lifeboat 11
