White Star Line, RMS Titanic, Roger Bricoux, cellist

White Star Line, RMS Titanic, important archive relating to Roger Bricoux, one of the two cellists on board the Titanic, who died aged 20 alongside his fellow band members including Wallace Hartley. The collection was obtained by the vendor during his research into Roger directly from his nephew. Roger Bricoux's missal (prayer book), with a copy of a letter from his nephew, together with a lock of his hair in an envelope marked "Roger ne en 1891" (Roger, born 1891). This was cut by his mother when he was a boy. Also included is Roger's prayer card from 1905. Roger travelled to Taggia, in Italy, in 1905 when he turned 15 for his First Communion, and brought the missal and signed prayer card back with him. A strange coincidence sees this missal only offering dates until 1912
