By Our Untamed Artist: With The Four Hundred. Brought into being by London's desire for later hours: The Four Hundred Club - some caricatures. Scenes from the famous London nightclub drawn by the cartoonist, H. M. Bateman. Top picture shows guests at tables enjoying drinks, in the middle couples dance the tango on the dancefloor and the bottom picture shows interval entertainment of ragtime. In the bottom right hand corner, a chef cooks breakfast of kipper and poached egg which club goers can enjoy in the early hours before leaving for their beds
