The Duke of York collects guineas from John Bull, who wears a fool's cap. King George III picks up a crooked pin, exclaiming Settle something on the poor souls - I would do it with all my heart - but I am so devilish poor'. Dent satires the recent marriage of George's son, the Duke of York, to Princess Frederica of Prussia. The King had to request yet another grant from the government to pay off his son's debts, as the Princess's dowry was not enough to cover them
