Under the bed lies a chamber pot, inscribed public Jordan open to all parties'.Gillray's title is a crude reference to Dorothea Jordan's previous lover Richard Ford. King George III was unusually accepting of his son's relationship with the actress. Together William and Dorothea had at least ten illegitimate children, all of whom took the surname FitzClarence
