The Grand Review on Sydenham Common, 1792
King George III chases the Prince of Wales and his political allies, Charles James Fox, Charles Earl Stanhope and Richard Sheridan from Sydenham Common. Fox and Sheridan had been sympathetic to the French Revolution during its early stages, and supported the Prince of Wales's claim to regency during the King's illness. George was deeply suspicious of the Prince and his tendency to align himself with radical politicians
