Charles James Fox (Foreign Secretary) dances with Britannia. Richard Sheridan (Treasurer of the Navy) plays the violin, and Edward Smith-Stanley, Earl of Derby (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster) plays the pipe and drum. After the death of Prime Minister William Pitt in 1806, King George III reluctantly appointed a Whig government, which included Fox, the King's old political enemy. George III was forced to assemble the strongest ministry available, as Britain was still at war with France
