King George III and Queen Charlotte in a coach, driven by Prime Minister Henry Addington and directed by William Pitt (Tory politician). The King and Queen would rather Pitt was driving. Addington was appointed Prime Minister in 1801 following Pitt's resignation from office. He became unpopular due to his inept war policies during the conflict with France. Pitt was reappointed in 1804
