King George III Globe silver inkstand, 1800
King George III globe inkstand. This silver and glass inkstand is engraved with the initials of Princess Sophia (1777-1848) the fifth daughter of King George III (1760-1820). It has a tripod base with lions heads at the beaded rim. The bud finial releases the two halves of the globe inside which are glass inkwells
