The King's Presence Chamber, Hampton Court Palace

This view shows the King's Presence Chamber with its crimson damask throne canopy and chair of state, which still survive in the room today along with two of King Henry VIII's tapestries, hung here by King William III. This illustration was published in W H Pyne's The History of the Royal Residences, which appeared in three volumes in 1819, depicting the royal palaces as they appeared in the reign of King George III (1760-1820)
