The Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula. Memorial to Anne Boleyn. Anne Boleyn, King Henry VIII's second wife, was executed on Tower Green in 1536; her headless body buried quickly in the Chapel without any memorial. Her remains were unearthed in the chancel in 1876 and were reburied beneath a new marble pavement in which was inserted her name and coat of arms
