Princess Alexandra and her sister
Princess Alexandra (1844-1925) and her sister Dagmar, the Empress of Russia (1847-1928). Princess Alexandra was the consort of King Edward VII (1901-10). When photographed with her sister, she enjoyed the visual humour of dressing in identical or near-identical clothing, which emphasised how similar they looked to one another
