Queen Charlotte's fringe loom, 1790
Fringe making machine or fringe loom belonging to Queen Charlotte (1744-1818). The loom is housed within a mahogany box with a brass handle and metal key. A white jewelled fringe is still attached to the loom and comb. There are sixteen bobbins with thread and a brass bobbin winder on a separate base
