Queen Victoria's Stockings, 1870
A pair of cream silk stockings owned and worn by Queen Victoria (1837-1901). The stockings are monogrammed with VR and a crown. They are contained within an oak box, with a paper label that reads Stockings belonging to Her Majesty Queen Victoria, given by Lady Flora Knox, July 1870'. Lady Flora Knox (1827-1905) was the fifth daughter of Thomas Knox (1786-1858), 2nd Earl of Ranfurly, and granddaughter of William Penn
