Soldiers at the Tower of London
Visitors return to the Tower of London after the end of the Second World War. The Tower is visibly scarred by the effects of war and armed soldiers patrol the site. On the left are the remains of the Main Guard, destroyed by a bomb in December 1940. In the distance can be seen the Wakefield and Bloody towers and the entrance to the Jewel House
