Field Marshal Viscount Wolseley's grace-and-favour apartment. The Cloister'. Field Marshal Garnet Joseph Wolseley, 1st Viscount Wolseley (1833-1913) was Commander-in-Chief of the British Army. He and Viscountess Lady Louisa Wolseley moved into their apartment at Hampton Court in 1899. Following his death, Lady Wolseley turned the apartment into a memorial to her husband
