CASANOVA, Rafael de (1660-1743). Catalan lawyer and politician, conseller en cap (chief executive) of Barcelona during the siege in 1713-1714. Organizer of the resistance of the city against the troops of Philip V. Monument of 1888 located at 1914 in the Ronda de Sant Pere street.
