Chirurgia cauteriorum secundum Rogerium, Brunum et Rolandum, 13th c. Part of the work Chirurgia Magna by the Italian physician and surgeon Bruno da Longobucco, dedicated to the wounds in the chest and cauterization. The work collects the treaties of Rogerius Salernitanus and Rolando da Parma. The miniature shows a doctor visiting a patient. Hot iron is applied to the patient's wounds. Miniature Painting. ITALY.
