The Coronation of Napoleon, by Jacques-Louis David, oil on canvas. It depicts the coronation of Napoleon and Josephine at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris on 2 December 1804, presided over by Pope Pius VII. David's student Georges Rouget helped with some finishing touches to the painting in January 1808. David also painted a full size replica, from memory, which he completed in 1822.
