Portrait of Carl Friedrich Goerdeler (born 31 July 1884 in Pila /Posen, February 2nd, 1945 in Berlin-Plotzensee) was a German jurist; national conservative politician and resistance fighter against the Nazis. He was one of the leading minds of the civilian resistance movement and was after the assassination of 20 July 1944 planned to become of Chancellor. Photograph. 1938
