Singer Kiki of Montparnasse
Kiki of Montparnasse, or Kiki (born October 2, 1901 in Chatillon-sur-Seine, C"te-d'Or / Burgundy 29 April 1953 in Sanary-sur-Mer / Var actually Alice Ernestine Prin, was a French singer/actress/ model and painter. In 1921 she became partner and preferred model of Man Ray - who said her body was from head to toe "immaculate". He made numerous photographs of her - including the famous photo of a seated woman, on whose backs are openings similar to those of the cello. The picture shows the singer in Berlin.
