Una Merkel in Evelyn Prentice (1934)
Una Merkel wore this smart but elegantly simple suit / evening ensemble, tailored in pink and silver cloth and designed by Dolly Tree in Evelyn Prentice (1934). The skirt was moulded and plain, featuring a short train at the back. The coat had a pinch-back model with black velvet lapels and buttons. A vestee of pale pink organza fastened by means of diminutive jewelled buttons. A pink organza carnation on the right lapel completed the ensemble. The ensemble was originally created for Myrna Loy in The Thin Man but had a different blouse
