Virginia Grey and Mickey Rooney in The Hardys Ride High
The Hardys Ride High had no on-screen costume credit. However, the MGM press kit states that Adrian created Cecilia Parker?s gowns. Also, a costume for Joan Crawford in Mannequin (1937) was adapted for the chorus. Virginia Grey?s gowns show hallmarks of Dolly Tree?s style. In particular, one outfit featured her adaptation of Italian Renaissance embroidery that she was using at the time and so it is likely that Dolly Tree created Virginia Grey?s gowns. Here she is seen with Mickey Rooney
