The Bank of Montreal's Head Office, built by John Wells in 1847 in the neoclassical style, is located in the Canadian city of Montreal in Quebec. The Bank of Montreal is the oldest bank in Canada, founded in 1817. Despite the name, this is no longer the head office of the bank - which was moved to Toronto in 1977
