The Queen's Building, London Heathrow Airport was designed in 1950 by Frederick Gibberd and opened in 1955 by Queen Elizabeth II. The building housed the airport's administrative and airline offices and only conference centre. It also featured runway viewing platforms and rooftop gardens,
becoming one of London's most visited attractions in 1956
