Leonid Aleksandrovich Govorov
Leonid Aleksandrovich Govorov, Soviet military commander. He played a leading role in the battles around Moscow during the winter of 1941-42. In 1942 he became Soviet commander in Leningrad, and in 1944 he was promoted to the rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union
