Statue of Hercules, Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin), Russia
A large bronze statue of Hercules in the park of the Catherine Palace at Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin), Russia. A small militiaman sits on a bench below, with the lake in the background. The statue was copied from a classical original in 1786. It was removed by the Germans during the Second World War and later discovered in the courtyard of a copper melting factory in the town of Halle
